Educational excellence for your development: Webuild Academy and the Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Management

At the very heart of the initiative lies the comprehensive training program offered by the second-level Master’s degree (focusing on Construction & Project Management), which stems from the close collaboration between the Webuild Academy and the Business School of the Politecnico di Milano – POLIMI Graduate School of Management. This model of advanced applied training has been specifically designed to bridge the gap between academic training and the realities of the workplace, combining the methodological rigour of the Politecnico with Webuild’s operational and industrial know-how.

Thanks to a program that combines classroom-based learning, project work on real-world cases and ongoing on-the-job support from company tutors, young professionals can develop a comprehensive set of technical, managerial and strategic skills.

The Master’s program runs alongside the 24-month work placement, alternating between face-to-face training, online learning and practical application in the workplace.

The training model is based on three dimensions: knowledge, action and relationships, enabling participants to acquire tools and methods, apply them to real-life situations and grow through interaction with lecturers, professionals and Webuild experts.

The program comprises 360 hours of training, divided into four areas:

  • Onboarding & Induction: understanding the Group’s culture, organisation and operational contexts.
  • Company Functions: understanding the contribution of the various functions throughout the lifecycle of a project.
  • Project & Power Skill Lab: developing project management, collaboration and problem-solving skills through case studies, simulations and workshops.
  • Technical Deep Dive: gaining in-depth knowledge of specialist skills, methodologies and tools relevant to one’s role.

The Master’s program is rounded off by a 375-hour Project Work, dedicated to developing innovative solutions and improving business processes: an opportunity to transform what you have learnt into a tangible contribution to the business.

How does the selection process work?

Applications will remain open until 31 March 2027, but the selection and recruitment processes will begin immediately. Successful candidates will be admitted to the Graduate Program as and when they successfully complete the assessment process.

The selection process involves an initial HR interview designed to get to know the candidates better, explore their motivation and understand their career aspirations. This will be followed by an assessment comprising aptitude tests and behavioural style analysis, combined with individual or group activities. Through tests and practical case studies, candidates’ analytical, planning, collaboration and problem-solving skills will be assessed, with the involvement of assessors and the Talent Acquisition team.

The process is designed to identify the best talent, capable of demonstrating the skills and potential for growth required to meet the challenges of the Webuild Group. Finally, there will be an opportunity for discussion during a technical interview with the manager of the relevant role.
