Scale at the service of training: webuild schools
Industry growth and skills challenge
The sector has seen unprecedented growth in recent years. Such rapid expansion raises a question: how can we ensure quality, safety, and continuity? The answer lies in training and expertise.
Building projects by building skills
Every project reflects the work of thousands of specialists. The future of infrastructure is built primarily on the skills of the people who realize it.
People at the service of development
Webuild has a workforce of approximately 95,000 people (with 15,000 new hires projected for 2025). Their growth is constantly supported by a system designed to train managers, technicians, and specialized workers.
Training as a strategic investment
To train is to pass on technical knowledge and provide a career path. A structured training system is a competitive tool: it helps attract, develop, and retain talent, creating value for the entire production ecosystem.
Training future leaders: Knowledge exchange between generations
The managerial and leadership skills required by the sector demand constant investment in training—something often only large-scale organizations can guarantee. Webuild created the Managerial Academy to prepare managers for global industry challenges, enabling them to lead complex teams and manage significant responsibilities.
Cantiere Lavoro Italia: a school for trades
Cantiere Lavoro Italia was established to develop technical skills specifically for construction sites. This program combines training and employment, involving people from diverse backgrounds and guiding them toward roles essential to project quality. From local schools to advanced training centers, learning continues on-site every single day.
The Cantiere Lavoro Italia initiative creates value on two levels:
- Professional: Offering job opportunities and disseminating specialized/innovative skills through constant growth paths.
- Social: Empowering new generations, promoting a culture of legality and safety, and providing targeted inclusion for vulnerable groups.
Valuing internal knowledge
We believe in leveraging internal expertise and generational exchange. By involving expert Webuild instructors, we guide and accelerate the learning of younger staff, tapping into the motivation, energy, and fresh perspectives of the new generation.
