Line C Rome Metro - Venezia Station - First macrophase completed
The first macrophase, begun in June 2023 with the relocation of utilities and the implementation of measures to safeguard artistic and historic sites, achieved several milestones: 124 diaphragm walls have been built up to 85 metres deep.
Excavation totaled 35,000 cubic metres. In order to protect nearby historic monuments, more than 1,500 monitoring instruments were installed on churches and historic buildings, including the Basilica Ulpia, Trajan’s Forum, and Palazzo Bonaparte.
Starting November 16, construction of the Venezia Station on enters its second macro phase.
Once completed, the entire Line C will stretch for 29 km with 31 stations (including the future T1 section currently in the design phase).
