Chief Financial Officer 

Massimo Pompei holds a degree in Economics, Finance and Corporate Law from La Sapienza University of Rome and has built extensive managerial experience in corporate finance, risk management, control systems, extraordinary financial transactions, and capital markets relations.

Since 2020, he has served as Chief Financial Officer of Webuild S.p.A., overseeing the Finance, Controlling & Accounting, Accounting Compliance, Investor Relations, Tax and Insurance functions. He also supervised M&A and Asset Management activities until 2023, and Risk Management until September 2026.

On September 23, 2026 (effective October 1, 2026), he was appointed Manager in charge of the preparation of the Company’s Financial Reports pursuant to Article 154-bis of the Italian Consolidated Finance Act (TUF), with additional responsibility for providing oversight in relation to the Consolidated Sustainability Reporting.

Within the Group, he has held positions of increasing responsibility since 2012 across finance, risk management, including the role of Group Risk Officer, and extraordinary corporate transactions.

Alongside his professional obligations, since 2021 he has been involved in academic activities at LUISS Guido Carli University as a Cultore della Materia (Academic Associate) and is the author of papers on infrastructure financing. He has also gained significant corporate governance experience through board and chairmanship appointments at several companies.
