Webuild’s Ferrari: Fitch rating upgrade to “BB+” puts Group one step from investment grade

Recognition of financial discipline, further growth potential

MILAN, May 30, 2025 – “Webuild’s rating upgrade from Fitch Ratings to “BB+” with a stable outlook is recognition of Webuild’s solid financial structure and its ability to generate cash in a sustainable manner despite complex macroeconomic conditions. It brings the Group to one step from becoming investment grade,” said Webuild General Manager Massimo Ferrari.

“In the last few years, Webuild has strengthened its credit profile by managing attentively, diversifying our geographical presence and developing an order pipeline of the highest quality in low-risk markets. The centralisation of the management of working capital, as well as the bidding process and management of risk requires investment in resources and technology that only a Group of its scale can do. The year 2024 closed with record results, surpassing the challenging targets that had been set for the year. It put Webuild in a position to raise 2025 targets that were already ambitious,” Ferrari said.

“The rating improvement confirms the market’s confidence in the Group’s selective growth strategy and financial discipline – both of which makes it stand out. Webuild’s objective now is to improve even further its key indicators, taking advantage of the opportunities brought about by the strong demand for investment in sustainable infrastructure, while maintaining a prudent approach and focus on value for stakeholders,” he added.
