Webuild: academic delegation and Nobel Laureate Michael Spence visit Evolutio

Major infrastructure as a driver for universal development

Milan, April 17, 2026 – “An extraordinary exhibition that everyone should see, telling a universal story of progress and development through infrastructure.” With these words, Nobel Prize winner in Economics Michael Spence commented on his visit to EVOLUTIO, the exhibition promoted by Webuild at the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan. Due to its significant public and critical success, the exhibition has been extended until May 11.

Professor Spence explored the exhibition’s themes alongside a delegation of academic experts in the economic and financial sectors, led by Professor Marina Brogi of the University of Milano-Bicocca. The visit underscored the strategic value of major works as a catalyst for economic growth and social inclusion, highlighting the importance of a modern, scientific approach to infrastructure management.
