Circolo Canottieri Aniene and Webuild: Caterina Banti and Ruggero Tita embark on a new Nacra 17 journey

Rome, March 18, 2026 – The Circolo Canottieri Aniene – in close partnership with the Webuild Group, its long-standing supporter in Olympic sailing – expresses great joy and deep satisfaction at the official confirmation just given by Caterina Banti and Ruggero Tita of their decision to resume and continue their journey together in the Nacra class.

The destination of this journey – opponents and fate permitting – is Los Angeles 2028.

Caterina Banti, honorary member and athlete of CC Aniene, and Ruggero Tita, member for sporting merit of CC Aniene and athlete of the Fiamme Gialle, already boast an extraordinary record as a team: two Olympic gold medals (Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024), four world titles and four European titles.

CC Aniene and Webuild – in full respect of the technical plans defined by the athletes, the Italian Sailing Federation and CONI – will stand alongside Caterina Banti (and her teamwork with Ruggero Tita), working to help create the best possible conditions to bring to fruition a project of exceptional significance, not only in sporting terms.
