Webuild: “Evolutio” exhibition in Milan extended until May 3

Dialogue with Companies and Institutions on major public works proceeds at National Museum of Science and Technology

MILAN, March 2, 2026 – The story of Italy and how infrastructure supports its growth continues, renewing its dialogue with local communities. The Webuild Group has extended the showing of the EVOLUTIO exhibition at the National Museum of Science and Technology “Leonardo da Vinci” in Milan until May 3. The decision to go beyond the original closing date of April 7 reflects the Group’s desire to provide continuity to an initiative that has established itself as an educational and institutional platform on the value of major infrastructure projects.

The exhibition, accessible free of charge from the museum’s entrance on Via Olona 6A, aims to keep open a space for analysis that, with scientific rigour, retraces the impact of infrastructure on Italy’s transformation from an agricultural nation into an industrial power.

Since its opening on February 11, the exhibition has drawn sustained interest from schools, professionals and public institutions, further consolidating the long-standing collaboration between Webuild and the Museum. The Museum already hosts the cutterhead of “Stefania", the large tunnel-boring machine used to excavate the M4 Line of Milan’s metro system, a strategic project that is contributing to the city’s urban transformation. The choice of Milan as home of EVOLUTIO underscores the importance of the debate on the future of major public works. The city – where the M4 Line connects Linate Airport to the city centre in just 12 minutes – remains a privileged observatory for understanding how technical progress translates into social progress.

The EVOLUTIO exhibition is part of a broader programme that also includes a native digital museum, EVOLUTIO.MUSEUM, a unique archive presenting more than 400 of the Group’s projects through more than 1.5 million photographs and videos. These are complemented by contributions from historians, technicians and construction site professionals, enriching the visitor experience with original insight that go beyond the conventional narratives. Every project built by Webuild is explained within its historical context, highlighting the positive impact it has had on local communities.
