Webuild: Italian Minister Salvini visits “Evolutio” exhibition at Rome’s Ara Pacis
ROME, October 23, 2025 – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, visited today EVOLUTIO, the exhibition conceived by Webuild and hosted at the Ara Pacis Museum in Rome, immersing himself in a visual and technological narrative about how engineering is transforming the face of Italy and the world. He was welcomed by Pietro Salini, Chief Executive Officer of the Webuild Group. Pietro Ciucci, Chief Executive Officer of Stretto di Messina, was also in attendance.
The exhibition, open to the public until November 9, unfolds through multiple thematic areas dedicated to energy, water, transport, urban construction, and building techniques. Visitors are guided on a journey through the decades, with videos, images, and texts that recount the projects and the historical context in which they were created.
After Rome, EVOLUTIO is set to travel to other Italian cities including Milan, Naples, Reggio Calabria, and Palermo. It will also cross international borders with stops planned in Australia, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. The goal is to continue telling the story—through a visual and experiential language—of the strategic role of infrastructure in the country’s development, as well as the growth and transformation of its regions, promoting a shared reflection on the value of civil engineering as a driver of progress.
During the visit, was also presented—the first digital museum dedicated to infrastructure. The platform gathers over 400 projects and more than 1.5 million archival items, making the Group’s industrial memory accessible to the public. Among the available materials are previously unseen testimonies, videos, photographs, and documents.
