Milan, November 3, 2016 - A corporate website enhanced with new functions; an App to steer the online magazine’s content; an intranet with new graphics and web products that keep readers abreast of the Group's major events. Salini Impregilo, leader in large-scale projects, presented its new digital tools today at a press conference entitled “Communicating on Public Works: Salini Impregilo, Changemaker of Digital Communication”. Present at the event were Massimo Ferrari, General Manager Corporate and Finance and Group CFO of Salini Impregilo, and Luigi Vianello, Head of Corporate Identity and Communication for the Group.
"The world of public works is complex,” said Massimo Ferrari. “To depict it, we turn to integrated communication that uses digital tools to reach not only our clients but also the millions of people who use our infrastructure and those who will do so in the future. Recounting this world, we aim to represent our profession as one that creates value for everyone and opens whole regions on the planet to development.”
The corporate website, (which has 50,000 visitors per month), is now equipped with a georeferencing system activated in collaboration with Google for more than 200 of the Group's projects around the world. Users are accompanied on a discovery of the Group's projects like the New Panama Canal and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre in Athens.
We Build Value, the Group's online magazine, has become a reference point for international discussion about large-scale projects (. The magazine has been enhanced with an App that is available free of charge at the App Store and enables readers to navigate among over 300 articles published over the course of the year.
Even the intranet, @work, the communication space within the Group that was awarded the Nielsen Norman Group Intranet Design 2016, has had its graphics refreshed, improving its usability and functions. This facelift makes it even more like an online newspaper, with a storytelling style that features simple, fast navigation.
The pivotal role digital communication holds for the Group has been confirmed lastly by the special projects launched during the year, culminating in the mini website, which is dedicated to the 110 years of Salini Impregilo. This website tells the story of a century of infrastructure in the world: from the book 110 Years of Future to the documentary film by Giovanni Minoli. The mini website also integrates virtual reality to guide users on a virtual tour of the rooms at the Beyond exhibit (Triennale di Milano 27 September
