MILAN, April 25, 2020 – Pergenova (Salini Impregilo and Fincantieri) is preparing to complete the structure of Genoa’s new bridge in record time early next week with the installation of the last span of the deck. It will do it just 10 months since work began on the first foundation for the piers on June 24, 2019. It will place the span between Piers 11 and 12, making it the sixth to be installed this month. Strand jacks will hoist it at a speed of five metres an hour to complete the 1,067-metre deck.
