Young people for tomorrow's infrastructure: Webuild completes the 2nd edition of the master's in international construction management

Milan, June 27, 2018 – “The infrastructure industry needs the courage of the young to secure the talent to build our future infrastructure, to meet new challenges and facilitate the innovation process and to grow.” This was Salini Impregilo CEO Pietro Salini’s message to the young students who completed the 2nd edition of the Master's in International Construction Management, promoted by Salini Impregilo in partnership with the Politecnico di Milano as he launched the 2018-2019 edition. Lessons will begin in September, once the selection process has been completed.
The recently concluded second edition consisted in a training path of one year enabling the new graduates to begin their professional "career" with specific skills concerning management and construction site processes in international large-scale infrastructure projects. The basis of this training path is an excellent academic programme, in full collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano supported by specific tutoring activities and an internship within the group in Italy, Slovakia, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Brazil. This confirms the the importance and attention that Salini Impregilo attributes to young talent, the Group's future resource. Today, 50% of the people working for the Group globally are, in fact, under 35.
Due to the success of the two previous editions, selections for new talented graduates to join the Master's third edition are now open and have already registered a 30% increase in admission applications compared to last year.
“I would like to congratulate the young students who completed the Master's with excellent results – said Mr Salini - while also welcoming the new students who have applied for admission to the new edition. They are a positive example for Italy, where unemployment has now reached crisis levels.”
