And on the need for Italy to resume investing massively in infrastructure, to create more jobs and greater development, therefore relaunching Italy, while meeting today's real emergency: occupation and growth", said Webuild CEO Pietro Salini, during the Santa Barbara commemoration, connected with thousands of workers, united in prayer, to celebrate the saint that protects firefighters, miners and all tunnel workers. Salini, as he remembered all workers and companies of the sector, also said that "our government has done a lot to support families. Now, we must focus all our efforts to restart investing in infrastructure, to provide people with greater confidence, more job opportunities and dignity. We cannot afford to wait”.

Salini joined the celebrations that took place, in compliance with anti-Covid regulations, in the Arquata Scrivia (AL) site of the Terzo Valico dei Giovi, where the Bishop of Tortona, His Excellency Vittorio Francesco Viola, blessed workers with a liturgy given in the Camerone di Valico Nord, an underground cathedral of 540 square meters, which is 30 wide and 22 meters high. The event was also virtually attended by Milan's M4 construction site, and by the construction sites of the Brennero Isarco project, the Turin-Lyon High Speed Line tunnel and of line 16 of the Grand Paris Metrò: Sustainable mobility projects that allow people move more quickly and efficiently, from an environmental perspective, while also providing new solutions to the problems of chronic congestion in large cities.
