New York, November 3, 2017 – Salini Impregilo celebrated the 150th anniversary of the birth of Italy’s most famous conductor Arturo Toscanini with a concert by the chamber orchestra of Teatro alla Scala at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Group’s latest act of appreciation of the Maestro’s pursuit of excellence, a quest shared by the global infrastructure leader.  

The concert, which displayed the vocal prowess of tenor Vittorio Grigolo in the museum’s Peter B. Lewis Theater, was attended by more than 350 people.

The performance by the tenor and chamber orchestra in the presence of members of the New York business community was followed by a gala charity dinner where Robert E. Alger, Lane Construction President & Chief Executive Officer, accepted the Leadership Excellence Award on behalf of Salini Impregilo.

The event at the Guggenheim brought to a close the U.S. chapter of the Toscanini celebrations, which included concerts at the Library of Congress and Union Station in Washington, D.C. Salini Impregilo also celebrated the Maestro with the publication of the book “Toscanini. The Maestro: a Life in Pictures” curated by Marco Capra with a preface by Antonio Pappano, the production of a documentary with Harvey Sachs, and the compilation of CD.
