Milan, August 27, 2018 - Salini Impregilo wishes to clarify that Ethiopian Electric Power’s (EEP) decision regarding Metals and Engineering Corporation (METEC) has no bearing on its own contract in the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

METEC worked on the supply and installation of the hydraulic and electromechnical components of the hydroelectric project.

Salini Impregilo is instead responsible for the civil works.
