January 31, 2017 - Salini Impregilo has been ranked the highest-placed construction company in the world in terms of transparency and sustainability. The Group placed in the Top 10 of the Open Corporation ranking – an innovative project led by the Filcams-Cgil union and co-financed by the European Commission. Salini Impregilo came third in the Social Reporting Transparency Index for companies with the best sustainability reports and eighth in the Total Transparency Index.

Open Corporation is the first ranking to be created by trade unions, with the aim of making multinational companies more transparent, inclusive and open to engagement with workers. 

The global project involved 50 multinationals from all economic sectors, assessing and comparing them on working conditions, financial and tax transparency, environmental protection and other aspects of sustainability. 

The recognition comes soon after Salini Impregilo’s addition to CDP’s Climate “A” List and its inclusion among the best companies operating in the Middle East in terms of worker welfare, confirming the Group’s leadership in the pursuit of sustainability and transparent dialogue with stakeholders.
