August 30, 2017 - Salini Impregilo’s engineering prowess is celebrated in the latest issue of Create, a magazine published by Engineers Australia, the country’s largest association for the profession.

The September 2017 issue of the magazine, which covers the most innovative projects in the world, dedicates four pages to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre in Athens built by the Group on a design by Italian star architect Renzo Piano. Opened last year, the center houses the Greek national library and serves as the home of the national opera.

Entitled “Dancing Canopy Delivers Energy”, the article focuses on the design and construction of the centre’s roof, which many of the contenders in the public tender for the project insisted could not be built.
