MILAN, November 5, 2019 – Salini Impregilo today takes part in the 32nd edition of the “Bocconi & Jobs” career day at Milan’s Bocconi University where students can get information and discover career opportunities offered by the Group. Its participation at the event is part of the Employer Branding Salini Impregilo initiative to attract young talent and other professionals who could eventually represent the Group’s best assets in the future.

The Employer Branding Salini Impregilo initiative, conducted mostly on university campuses, lends support to the Group’s strategy of positioning itself on international markets. In the last three years, it has seen Salini Impregilo take part in more than 180 events. For example, Salini Impregilo has been a “Partner for Development” at Bocconi University since 2015, and it has collaborated with a network of top universities including the University of Technology Sydney in Australia. Other projects it supports include the Master’s in International Construction Management, which reached its third edition at the Politecnico di Milano university.

All of this emphasises investing in a new generation of professionals to help the Group respond the challenges of the future. Today, 27% of Salini Impregilo staff is aged under 30 years. Meanwhile, 45% is below 35 years. This type of investment is destined to increase under Progetto Italia, the industrial operation launched by Salini Impregilo to consolidate the fragmented infrastructure sector in Italy, underlining the Group’s commitment to make the most of the sector’s levels of excellence to compete on world markets.

Salini Impregilo’s commitment to young people has seen it receive a “Best Employer of Choice” award for a third year in a row in 2019. The award, based on a survey by a consultancy, demonstrates how Salini Impregilo is one of the attractive places to work in Italy for young people, especially among science and engineering students and graduates.
