Salini Impregilo (WeBuild) pays tribute to Italy with a bridge of light in Genoa

PRESS NOTES

Ponte Genova

MILAN, March 21, 2020 – Salini Impregilo is turning on a bridge of light with the colours of the Italian flag in Genoa as its workers from sites in Italy and abroad proudly express their solidarity with the country and the port city during this coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency.

The beams of light highlight the bridge being built across the Polcevera River, uniting the port city with the rest of the country by evoking the national flag.

The gesture is the Group’s way of thanking the officials, doctors, nurses and everyone else who are working without rest across the country to save lives in this emergency.

The beams of light that will be visible as of 7:30 p.m. this evening will highlight the 1,000 metres in length that the bridge will assume when completed. The beams will appear as the sound of the national anthem is played throughout the city, joining other initiatives that have occurred across the country. The inauguration of the bridge of light can be followed in direct streaming on the Group’s website (www.webuildgroup.com).
