Webuild wins a contract for the construction of the A1 Motorway in Poland, worth € 170 million

PRESS NOTES

July 22, 2015 - The Salini Impregilo Group has won a contract worth €170 million for the design and construction of a 20.270 km section of the A1 Motorway, south of Warsaw, near the City of Katowice. Funding is partly EU and partly Polish public funds.

 

The works will last 33 months, and include three junctions: Rząsawa, Lgota, Blachownia, 4 bridges, 1 railway bridge and 21 viaducts. The road surfacing will be entirely in concrete. 

 

The A1 Motorway is one of the Group's many ongoing contracts in Poland, thereby increasing its order backlog in the Country ‎to over €500 million.

This contract consolidates the Group's activity in the Country's infrastructure sector in addition to the A1 Kowal - Odolion, the S3 Nowa Sol - Legnica, the S8 Warsaw expressway and the recent contract for the construction of the S7 Chęciny – Jędrzejów section all of which are currently under construction.
