November 17, 2014 - The Salini Impregilo Group is awarded the construction of 21.5 km of the expressway S7 between Chęciny and Jędrzejów. The national road No. 7 crosses Poland from north to south starting from the city of Gdansk to the city of Krakow. It goes parallel to the A1 motorway representing the east connection of Warsaw with the above-mentioned towns.

The contract is worth €143 million.

The works, which will last for 22 months, include the construction of 21.5 km of dual carriageway S-class, the construction of three interchanges, 11 viaducts, 4 overpasses, 3 bridges, underpasses for cyclists and pedestrians, reconstruction of secondary and local roads, environmental protection and acoustics panels, public green areas.

The Group therefore confirms its strong commercial capability in securing orders and consolidates its presence in the infrastructure sector of the country where it is already carrying out construction works on the A1 and S8 expressway.
