Works for the Gotthard Motorway Tunnel Lot 243 (Second Tube) included the construction of a four-kilometre-long access tunnel at the north end of the project.
As part of the project, several excavations works were carried out to support the construction of the main tunnel.
The contract also included a large logistics cavern housing an underground concrete plant, preliminary excavation works for the second tunnel tube, and various facilities for material handling and management.
The project contributes to enhancing sustainable mobility in the heart of the Alps.
