I-495 Capital Beltway Express Lanes, Virginia

Lane, in a construction joint venture with Fluor, constructed two new lanes in each direction on a 14-mile stretch of 495, reating a seamless HOV network from the Springfield Interchange to just north of the Dulles Toll Road. The project included the replacement of more than $260 million of aging infrastructure, including more than 50 bridges and overpasses and 12 interchange upgrades including the 95 interchange. Lane also built more than 70,000 linear feet (approximately 21.3 km) of sound walls providing double the existing protection for local neighborhoods.
