The works involved the definitive and executive design and realisation of the first section of the Como and Varese Ring Roads and the road connection between the A8 and A9 motorways (from Cassano Magnago to Lomazzo).
The project involved the construction of about 47 km of motorways and secondary roads, the construction of approximately 3.1 km of natural tunnels, 4.1 km of artificial tunnels and construction of bridges and viaducts of various types, for a total length of about 1.1 km.
