The contract involved widening from two to four lanes the expressway for about seven miles and building a 6,500-foot-long bridge parallel to another one built in 2015, as well as two other bridges over local roads. It extended the Poinciana Parkway north to County Road 532 at the limits of Osceola and Polk counties.

The project was crucial to ease traffic congestion and improve regional connections for Osceola drivers in light of the county having the second highest growth rate in Florida.

Contractor: The Lane Construction Corporation (US subsidiary of the Webuild Group)
