​The project involves the design and build of new five-kilometre section road that links the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Road to Umm Lafina island as part of Abu D​habi Development Plan 2030.

Once completed in 2020, the highway between the islands of Umm Lafina and Al Reem will cross a mangrove reserve, where the Group will relocate and plant double the number of mangroves expected to be lost, following the sustainability principles that it applies at all its construction sites.
