What would life be like without major infrastructure projects?
Without infrastructure, Italy would still be a fragmented Country, as it was at the beginning of the twentieth century, lacking modern roads, running water, and stable energy. Thanks to infrastructure, however, it has become an industrialized, connected Country, playing a leading role in the world.
